The Lawrence Anthony Earth Organisation rescued the 5 cubs from private breeders and roadside zoos in Ukraine. To relocate the 5 cubs was quite expensive and it had to be done in a tight time frame. Mazda SA donated the final amount needed to relocate the cubs after hearing about their plight on a local radio station, Jacaranda FM’s “Good Morning Angels” program, and also supplied the vehicles to transport the cubs from OR Tambo International Airport to Ubuntu wildlife Sanctuary.
